The turbine is located in an existing industrial estate close to Hatston Pier. As one of Scotland’s longest deep water commercial berths, Hatston Pier hosts around 80 cruise liners each year, bringing more than 80,000 visitors to Orkney. The turbine presents an iconic image at this important entrance gateway to the islands, with feedback from visitors being overwhelmingly positive about the development.
